Eefje Sizoo went on a work visit to the Alzheimer Europe conference and InterDEM meeting in Bologna, Italy, from October 5 to 9, 2025.
"I recently became a member of InterDEM, a pan-European network of researchers collaborating on research and the dissemination of Early, Timely, and Quality Psychosocial Interventions in Dementia, aimed at improving the quality of life of people with dementia and their supporters across Europe. In Bologna, I attended InterDEM’s annual meeting and networking dinner, where I connected with several inspiring European researchers working on topics that align with my research interests. I joined two special interest groups: Palliative and End-of-Life Care, and Challenging Behaviour in Dementia. Moreover, I attended the Alzheimer Europe conference, where I caught up with new developments in my research field and where PhD students I supervise presented our work." - Eefje Sizoo
