Patient involvement

For any health-related project that could impact patients, it can be important to involve patients or patient organizations. Involving patients allows them to actively think along with researchers on aspects such as study design, organization, execution and dissemination of the results.

Patient involvement ensures that research is more aligned with the needs and experiences of those it aims to benefit. Their insights can enhance the relevance, quality, and applicability of the study outcomes.

More information and/or inspiration on how to meaningfully involve patients in the research
process is available here.
