The PIR (Patient Involvement in Research) working group at Amsterdam UMC is excited to launch a new webinar series on patient involvement in research! đ
In these sessions, we will invite experts in the field, such as patients, patient organisations, other UMCs, policy makers, and funders, as well as Amsterdam UMC researchers who are actively involving patients in their work. The aim of these series is to share inspiration, showcase good practices, and create opportunities for connection across our network.
The speakers for the first four months are already confirmed:

- Tuesday 6 Oktober 16:00-17:00: Webinar #2 by Jurgen Seppen - AGEM & Tytgat Institute

- Tuesday 8 December 16:00-17:00: Webinar #4 by Kak Khee Yeung â ACS

The first session on 1 September is co-organised with the Amsterdam UMC Participatory Research Interest Group. It will feature the Programme Manager and a Community Scientist from the Tisch Cancer Center (Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai), presenting The TCC Community Scientist Program: a structured program that trains and partners with community members to actively participate in cancer research.
