Clinical and translational researcher. Two primary research lines focusing on "perioperative glycaemic control and treatment of diabetes mellitus" and "perioperative organ protection, primarily renoprotection through novel diagnostic techniques and preventative treatment strategies".
Research on the intersection of endocrinology, metabolism, cardiology, nephrology, anaesthesiology, (cardiac) surgery, and intensive care. In collaboration with specialists from respective fields. Translational research expertise and activities primarily with large animal models through intensive collaboration with the Florey Institute and the University of Melbourne.
