Focus of research

As a medical physicist, my primary research focus is application and development of MRI in radiotherapy, including diagnostic pre-treatment imaging, (MR-only) simulations, contouring (segmentations), MR-guided radiotherapy, and treatment response monitoring. I take a special interest in quantitative MRI, diffusion MRI including tractography, and accelerated MRI acquisitions and reconstructions. Previously, I have worked on MRI-based techniques for optimizing deep brain stimulation (DBS) treatments in psychiatry, and on acceleration of MRI and automatic lesion detection for acute ischemic stroke.
