As trained biotech engineer from Delft University of Technology, I explored CRISPR technology for rapid and point-of-care diagnostics in the clinic, focusing on oncology and prenatal health. For a big part, my research focused on achieving single-nucleotide precision detection, as well as improving sensitivity, while. collaborating with internal and external parties to bring this technology closer to the patient for more accessible and cost-effective diagnostics. I have defended this doctoral work publicly on April 9th, 2026.
As per September 1st 2026, I have started as Laboratory Geneticist in training at Radboud UMC, Nijmegen (Netherlands).
