Focus of research

My research focuses on the detection, characterization, and expansion of antigen-specific T cells in cancer. I develop and optimize in vitro stimulation assays, including both HLA-dependent and HLA-independent approaches, to identify rare tumor- and virus-reactive T-cell populations across diverse patient groups.

I apply these workflows to immune monitoring in clinical trials of cervical cancer and uveal melanoma. This includes detecting HPV-reactive T cells in patient PBMCs, analyzing treatment-associated changes using TCR sequencing, and identifying vaccine-induced T cells with personalized HLA–peptide tetramer panels. Detected antigen-specific T cells are further phenotyped using spectral flow cytometry.
