Two projects have been awarded funding through the latest Societal Participation & Health research grant round. The call focused on sustainability of our healthcare system, with a specific focus on the sustainable employability of healthcare and long-term care professionals.

A total of seven applications were submitted. Following the review process, and a lottery among the highest-ranked proposals, two projects were selected for funding:

  • “Implementing and facilitating team well-being conversations: a pilot study of the WellNext Scan trajectory in clinical departments,” led by Sofiya Abedali
  • “Sustainable employability in the digital age: an exploration of care workers occupational health and wellbeing in relation to digitalization,” led by Meredith Overman.

We congratulate the successful applicants and wish them every success in carrying out their projects. We are confident that these studies will contribute meaningfully to the sustainability of our healthcare system by addressing the health and well-being of healthcare and long-term care professionals. An increasingly important priority in light of growing pressures on the sector.
