Annual ACS Symposium
Every year we organize the Annual ACS Symposium. The aim is to stimulate collaborations between the ACS research programs and to provide a forum to exchange your latest research results (by either an oral, pitch or poster presentation).

Monthly ACS symposia
Every first Thursday of the month, we organize a symposium with one of our research programs or innovations as the theme of the event. The symposia start at 12:00 hrs with lunch, followed by presentations of two internal or external speakers. Upcoming symposia are listed on the events calendar page.
ACS Postdoc Retreat
The ACS Postdoc Retreat is an event for postdocs affiliated with ACS and with a contract at the time of the event. This one-day event will include multiple workshops, social activities and of course, lots of great food and drinks.

ACS PhD Retreat
The ACS PhD Retreat is an annual event for all PhD candidates (starters and seniors). This two-day event will consist of inspiring keynote speakers, workshops and pitches from your peers, focusing on cardiovascular sciences, but also on inspiring stories beyond. The event is free of charge and includes hotel stay and food and drinks.

PhD Afternoons
Twice a year the ACS Education Committee organizes an afternoon specifically for ACS PhD candidates. It includes a lunch and a discussion about an item chosen by your peers, such as how to make better figures, how to improve your statistic and how to make a good poster. We will announce the events through the ACS website and newsletter. The PhD afternoons are mandatory for all new ACS PhD candidates in Amsterdam UMC location VUmc, but are also available for location AMC PhD candidates.
Rembrandt Symposium
The Rembrandt Symposium is an annual event that is organized by the Rembrandt Institute of Cardiovascular Science (RICS), in which the research efforts on cardiovascular disease in Leiden (LUMC, LACDR) and Amsterdam (Amsterdam UMC, Sanquin) are combined.The meeting aims to exchange current research ideas and initiate novel collaborations. Next to
contributions from renowned key-note speakers active in (pre)clinical cardiovascular research, young cardiovascular investigators are encouraged to present their work.
