Researchers from the deparment of Rehabilitation medicine have been given a grant from ZonMw for their research on the cost-effectiveness of personalised medicine on patients with diabetic-related foot ulcers.
Jaap van Netten and Sicco Bus have been awarded a grant from ZonMw, within the program “Goed Gebruik Hulpmiddelen”. With this €600.000,- grant, they will perform a stepped-wedge RCT in 10 hospitals in the Netherlands, to investigate the cost-effectiveness of personalized medicine in offloading care of people with diabetes-related foot ulcers, in comparison with usual care. This grant was written as part of Academic Workplace HOMELAND, the knowledge platform on medical devices for offloading people with neuropathic foot disease.
