Focus of research
My research program focuses on innovation, validation, and clinical implementation of computer-assisted diagnosis and treatment in oral and maxillofacial surgery and adjacent specialisms. Novel technologies or improvements on existing technologies are developed for advanced diagnostics, virtual surgical planning, or intraoperative feedback, aiming to make treatment more accurate, predictable, and personalized. Objective evaluation methods are developed to assess impact; validated innovations are implemented in clinical workflows and transferred to adjacent treatments and specialties, ensuring that as many patients as possible benefit.
