Are you thinking about taking the next step toward larger national or international grants? Curious about applying for schemes such as VIDI, ERC, industry-collaborative calls, or consortium-based funding?

The Young Amsterdam Neuroscience (YAN) board is organizing an interactive workshop on advanced grant opportunities and strategic grant writing, specifically tailored for researchers who are beyond entry level and ready to aim higher.

The workshop will focus on:

  • Navigating major national and international funding schemes;
  • Grants involving industry colloborations;
  • Building and leading consortia;
  • Positioning yourself competitively at the next career stage;
  • Common pitfalls and how to avoid them.

YAN is excited to host:

  • Robin Smith from the IXA-Grant Office, who will share pratical tips, insider strategies, and lessons learned from successful and unsuccessfull applications.
  • Several grant laureates who will candidly discuss their experiences from idea development and team building to rebuttals and interviews.

This workshop is designed to go beyond the basics. Expect concrete advice, real examples, and open discussion about what it truly takes to secure competitive funding in today’s landscape. Whether you are actively preparing an application or planning ahead for the coming years, this session will provide valuable insights and inspiration.
