On 4 June 2026, the Adore community celebrated the first anniversary of the RDC-Adore building at Amsterdam UMC. It is a unique place where researchers in oncology and neuroscience come together to push the boundaries of medical research.
Adore brings together scientists and clinicians who are determined to achieve what once seemed impossible. It is a place where the focus is not on publications, but on impact. Not on isolated projects or disciplinary silos, but on integrated collaboration under one roof, united by a clear mission: accelerating breakthroughs in cancer and brain disease research.
In the video below, program manager Christine De Veij Mestdagh, PhD student Daniek Niggebrugge, and creative director Emma Bruns reflect on Adore’s first year. Watch the video to discover what one year of Adore has meant for research, collaboration, and scientific progress, and why this is only the beginning.
