  • All partners contribute in kind or in cash to the total project costs.

GOAL RehabAI@Home

Researchers together with companies conduct research that leads to AI-driven innovation in the rehabilitation sector, which is applicable in the home setting of the end users. In times when healthcare costs are rising and personnel and resources are becoming scarcer, RehabAI@ contributes to the development of innovative technologies to enable people to rehabilitate better and more independently.

FINANCING of RehabAI@Home research

Research partners are at least two of the three knowledge institutions AUMC, VU and HvA supplemented by at least one for-profit company. Partners may submit multiple applications. Researchers from AUMC, VU and HvA and SMEs can apply for funding. They are eligible for 70% (knowledge institute) and 60% (SME) funding for fundamental or industrial research, or 60% and 40% for experimental development, respectively. For knowledge institutions, the own contribution is at least 10% of the total project costs. For private partners, the own contribution is at least 15% of the total project costs. Other partners, such as healthcare institutions and large companies, can contribute to a project (in kind, or in cash), but cannot receive a grant.
