Specialization

I am a clinical epidemiologist and implementation researcher working in hospital infection prevention. My academic trajectory is rooted in clinical practice: I trained and worked as a nurse before specializing in infection prevention and experienced first‑hand how difficult it is to translate guidelines into everyday practice on busy hospital wards. These experiences shaped my research drive: understanding real‑world determinants of compliance and non‑compliance with infection prevention and the organizational conditions that enable or hinder change, so that we can develop strategies that genuinely support professionals and improve care for patients.
