We manage the financial aspects of scientific research projects sponsored by external parties, including the European Union, pharmaceutical companies, non-profit organizations (KWF, KIKA), and semi-governmental organizations (NWO, ZonMW).

Financial Project Management
Projectcontrollers from the department Financial Project Management can assist in budget preparation for new research projects, provides advice and budget monitoring for ongoing projects, and acts as a sparring partner when it comes to the financial development and risks of your projects. Additionally, financial progress and final reports will be prepared and provides support for any financial audit statements.

Finance & Control
The Finance & Control department processes all purchase and sales transactions related to research projects. This includes booking purchase invoices, expense claims, and participant reimbursements, as well as managing payments and project receipts. Furthermore, the department is responsible for budgeting, interim financial statements, and the annual accounts of Amsterdam UMC Research BV. Lastly, Finance & Control conducts internal controls on the project administration to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the financial project records.

Human Resources
We strive to provide customer-oriented, proactive, professional, and transparent financial and HR support to our clients.
The HR advisor assists and advises on employee recruitment, career development, and employee departures. Amsterdam UMC Research BV places high value on being a good employer, providing guidance and support to both the employee and project leader throughout the employment period. The HR advisor also provides advice and guidance on steps to be taken in accordance with the "Wet Poortwachter" (Dutch employment law). Additionally, the HR advisor collaborates with health & safety services ( Arbodienst) and the Employee Insurance Agency (UWV).
When personnel are to be recruited and assigned to a research project, please contact the HR advisor.
