Amsterdam UMC

Amsterdam UMC is an extensive collaboration between Academic Medical Center and VU Medical Center which was established by a merger of the Board of Directors of both institutions (in Dutch: bestuurlijke fusie) on 7th of June 2018. For now, it only concerns a merger on this level, which means that Academic Medical Center and VU Medical Center will stay two separate legal entities and, as such, contracting parties. Amsterdam UMC cannot be the contracting party of an agreement at this stage. Please be aware of this and only use the prescribed details of the possible contracting parties as mentioned below.

AUMC researchers are not entitled to legally represent the AUMC and/or enter into research related agreements as an independent party, upon personal title. The Institution (AMC/AMC Medical Research B.V./VUmc/VUmc Research B.V.) shall be the contracting party, in the presence of the researcher.

Academic Medical Center, having its principal place of business at Meibergdreef 9, 1105 AZ Amsterdam, the Netherlands, hereby represented by its fully owned subsidiary AMC Medical Research B.V., lawfully represented in this matter by J.J. Brand, CFO of AMC Medical Research B.V.

b. In case the research project and the agreement are not administered by AMC Medical Research B.V. and/or the agreement does not contain a financial component please include Academic Medical Center as contracting party as described below.

Location VUmc has two different legal entities. The financial advisor of your division will determine the correct legal entity.

Handling the publication of trial documentation for clinicians in K2 iProva within Amsterdam UMC.

Please note that any employee who wants to post (parts of) confidential trial documentation in K2.Iprova (e.g. a study protocol, manuals, patient information and consent form which are all property of the sponsor or a ‘moederprotocol’) is obliged to make use of the standard disclaimer either as a cover page or paste it in its entirety in the trial document, so that every employee with access to K2.iProva makes a conscious decision as to whether he/she has a legitimate reason for access.
