Veni
Profile: the Veni, part of the NWO Talent Programme, offers researchers who have only recently graduated and whose qualities clearly exceed what is customary within their international peer group, the opportunity to develop themselves as independent researchers.
Target group: researchers who have obtained their doctorate within the last three years and who are at the stage of transitioning towards independence. Extension on this period may apply for training, parenthood, care leave or illness.
Amount: € 320,000 for 3 years.
RGS offers extensive support to both Amsterdam UMC and external researchers who intend to apply with Amsterdam UMC as Host Institute.

Vidi
Profile: the Vidi, part of the NWO Talent Programme, is targeted at researchers who have already conducted several years of research after gaining their PhD, with academic qualities that clearly exceed what is customary and who demonstrate the development of leadership and mentorships skills.
Target group: researchers who have completed their doctorates with a maximum of 8 years from the date of their PhD graduation to 1 October and who are in transition to leadership, i.e. ready for the establishment of a research group or the expansion of a recent research group. Justified extensions like training, parenthood, care leave or illness of this period may be accepted.
Amount: € 850,000 for 5 years.

Vici
Profile: the Vici, part of the NWO Talent Programme, offers senior researchers, with academic qualities that clearly exceed what is customary within the international peer group, as well as established leadership- and mentorship skills, the opportunity to expand on their research group and further develop their research line.
Target group: researchers who have completed their doctorate with a minimum of 8 years to a maximum of 15 years, who are at the stage of consolidation and further development of their leadership skills/research group. Extension on this period may apply for training, parenthood, care leave or illness.
Amount: € 1.5M for 5 years.
