Research Support

Under the old power of attorney scheme (Volmachtregeling), the Directors of Operations (directeur Bedrijfsvoering) had the authority to enter into research contracts on behalf of Amsterdam UMC. With the introduction of the new power of attorney scheme, this authority has been transferred to the Director of Research: Maarten Vos. He has received a power of attorney to sign research contracts on behalf of Amsterdam UMC.

Specifically, this means that all research contracts with a monetary value up to EUR 500.000 within Amsterdam UMC (both in the name of the Amsterdam UMC Foundation and Research BV) are signed by Maarten Vos. A different regime applies to contracts with a monetary value exceeding 500,000 euros and to contracts with a monetary value exceeding EUR 1.000.000 euros. If this is the case please contact LRS. 

Please note that there are types of contracts that do not relate to medical scientific research and can be signed by other persons. This is all described in the new power of attorney regulations.
